On Boxing day, all Mini-Basketball participants and parents are invited to attend the Xmas Mini-Basketball festival at the University Pavillion. This festival starts at 9.00am and ends at 11.00am. Parents and participants are to attend in sports wear. Bring along water with you!

All under 14’s boys and girls are to attend to a scrimmage session between 11.30am and 1.30pm. All under 14 coaches are to inform their players and attend.

Social Event for Under 14s

Starlites End of Baskitsajf BBQ

Starlites would like to conclude Baskitsjaf with an event which brings together all the baskitsajf participants from categories U6, U8, U10 and U12.

A Burger & Sausages BBQ will be held on SATURDAY 17th September starting at 5.00pm at Golden Bay. Games will be organised on the sand and after, a BBQ will be held for all to enjoy. All those attending this event are to:
  o Bring along their own burgers, sausages and drinks
  o Bring along their BBQ’s (we will need a few)
  o Bring along towels and clothes to change
 

Do not forget the mosquito spray!
 

Any parents who would like to help us organise this event are kindly asked to get in touch by dropping a mail!

End of season 2010/11 BBQ

Starlites basketball club have brought to an end a season of basketball training, competitions and activities.  A celebration buffet dinner organised on the 7th of August in M'Scala brought a total of 140 athletes, family members and friends together in an event during which participation tokens and special prizes were presented to all.  

Ivan Riolo, the technical Director of the club presented graduation certificates to all the young athletes moving up into the Junior categories, all players within the cadets and cadettes, junior men and women, Young men and women and senior teams were presented with season tokens.

The most awaited part of the evening was the presentation of the special awards which were  sponsored by Andolfi Glass Ideas and Sports Experience. These special prizes were presented to the most dedicated and best players of the season. Matthew Azzoppardi won the most dedicated player in the cadets sector, followed by Miguel Falzon who was awarded the player of the season honor.  In the cadettes sector, Danielle Agius was presented with the most dedicated player, whilst  Christina Sollami was named player of the year.  In the Junior sectors, Ryan Rizzo and Sarah Galea  were the most dedicated players, whilst Clive Schembri, Michaela Scicluna and Julia Camilleri were the best players of the season. In the young men and women categories, Chrsitian Doublet and Marie Claire Cilia were awarded the most dedicated players. Saviour Bonnici and Lyndsey Pirotta won the player of the year awards. 

Starlites BC thank all those who attended and support the club and wish all yet another  great season of basketball and social activities!
